Meet Our Church Leaders
Jacob & Taylor Wilson, Lead Pastor
Pastor Jacob Wilson has been in some form of church role for most of his adult life, even starting in vocational ministry at age 17. Pastor Jacob got his start as a worship leader, and has maintained a love of worship, serving as the worship and discipleship pastor at Versailles United Methodist Church for a season. He also led the college praise team at the Methodist Student Center on Morehead State University’s campus while attaining his undergraduate degree.
He began pastoral ministry in 2014 at Barterville United Methodist Church in Nicholas County and has served in various pastorates in the UMC before leaving the denomination. After serving for a season in the Global Methodist Church, Pastor Jacob came to our congregation. Pastor Jacob has attended both Asbury Seminary and Wesley Biblical Seminary.
Pastor Jacob married his wife, Taylor, in 2016. Taylor teaches 7th grade social studies at Meece Middle School in Somerset. They have a chocolate lab they love named Sadie and have opened their home as a host family for foreign exchange students.
Justin Beavers, Youth Pastor
Justin Beavers has faithfully served in ministry for over eight years. He has a heart for helping students grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ and desires to see the next generation boldly live out their faith.
Justin is married to his wife, Berenice, and they were married on January 15, 2022. Together they enjoy spending time with family and making memories with their two dogs, Molly and Chewy.
A brain cancer survivor, Justin’s life is a testimony to God’s faithfulness, grace, and sustaining power. His journey has strengthened his faith and deepened his passion for sharing the hope of the Gospel with others. In his free time, Justin enjoys the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing, and is a fan of the University of Kentucky.
Justin strives to live by the words of Romans 1:16: “For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes.”
Berenice Beavers, Children’s Director
Berenice works full time in marketing, but her greatest passion has always been serving in ministry. She is honored to serve as the Children's Director at Science Hill Trinity Church, where she loves helping children grow in their faith and discover God's love.
In addition to leading the children's ministry, Berenice serves alongside her husband in the youth ministry by coordinating activities, mentoring the youth girls, and supporting the church's social media and marketing efforts.
Berenice has been married to Justin since 2022, and together they live in the Science Hill area with their two dogs, Chewy and Molly. Outside of church and work, she enjoys spending time outdoors, staying active, and playing volleyball, soccer, and pickleball whenever she has the chance.
